Marketing Strategies of Social Networking Websites (Facebook and Twitter):
There are a number of different strategies that Facebook and Twitter use in order to keep their finances running. If we compare both Facebook and Twitter, according to my opinion, marketing strategies produced by Facebook are much better as compared to the strategies produced by Twitter Inc.
Advertisements:
Facebook allows its users to post advertisements on its home page. These adverts appear on the left side of the home page. These adverts can be about anything varying from a shop to business profile. Creator of the advert can also post pictures and enter brief information about the product or anything else. Cost of the advert depends upon the advert such as how often the advert needs to be displayed and other factors. However twitter does not provide this opportunity to its users. Anybody who has an account on twitter cannot post advertisements. You can also try the the mummy slot machine. There are a number of people who use Facebook daily so posting advertisements causes benefit to the creator.
Pages:
Both Twitter and Facebook allows its users to create pages on the website. These pages can be about anything such as fan pages and marketing pages about different products, shops, or branded merchandise. Information and pictures both can be posted on the pages. Customers or fans can like the page (on Facebook) and subscribe to the tweets of the creator (on Twitter) and receive updated. Users can also post on the wall, and tweet regarding the page. There are a number of people who are running small business on Facebook such as selling merchandise online through Facebook pages.
Stocks:
Facebook has more users as compared to Twitter. People prefer posting their business ideas and portfolios on Facebook as compared to Twitter. More fans and more spreading of business is what people want and Facebook provides its business users what they want. Twitter is also considered to be complicated by most users that is the reason also why people prefer posting on Facebook as compared to Twitter.
